My Herndon sellers were scheduled to close the next morning. Boxes packed. Keys ready. Plans made. That night, my phone rang. It was the buyer — not his agent — telling me he might not be able to close.

I didn’t call my clients. I called the lender. And then I called again. And again. I got everyone talking, figured out what had gone wrong, and walked the buyer through what needed to happen to finish the deal. Quietly.
